Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation Celebrity Fishing Tournament May 17, 2008

ATTENTION ALL FISHERMEN
The Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation will present its First Annual Celebrity Fishing Tournament on Saturday, May 17. People will be able to fish from boats, kayaks and the banks of The Lagoon. Prizes will be awarded in three categories of competition - bass, sportfin croaker and California halibut. First place in all three categories is $500 and fishing equipment for second and third places.
The entry fee is $35.00. Fifteen movie and television actors from Hollywood will participate in this important fund raising event. They will be joined by a number of current and retired San Diego Chargers and San Diego Padres. People who wish to fish with a celebrity in a boat will pay $100. There will be an awards ceremony, auction and a food and beverage reception for all competitors at The Lagoon Discovery Center following the competition.
The general public may also purchase tickets to the reception even if they are not fishing at a cost of $35.00. Gulp sample packs of bait will be given to each fisherman. Proceeds will also benefit United Anglers of Southern California and Hubbs Sea World Research Institute. Christopher Knight - In 2007 he won a "Pop Culture Award" from the TV Land Awards. He is currently starring in his own reality television series MY FAIR BRADY. He recently starred in VH1's television series THE SURREAL LIFE. He is famous for starring as "Peter Brady" in the hit classic television series THE BRADY BUNCH.
Joseph Mascolo - He is currently starring as one of daytime television's biggest stars where he won three Soap Opera Digest Awards for his 18 year role as "Stefano DiMera" on DAYS OF OUR LIVES. For six years he had been starring as "Massimo Marone" on the most internationally viewed daytime drama in the world, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL.
Christopher Atkins - He was nominated for a Golden Globe award for "Male - New Star of the Year in a Motion Picture" for his breakout role of "Richard" in the Oscar nominated worldwide hit feature film THE BLUE LAGOON. He also co-starred as "Peter Richards" in the classic television series DALLAS.
Erin Moran – For ten years she starred in 235 episodes as “Joanie Cunningham” in one of the most famous television series in history, HAPPY DAYS. She also had her own spin off series that she starred in called JOANIE LOVES CHACHI.
Patrika Darbo - She was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award and Won a Soap Opera Digest Award for "Outstanding Female Necomer". For five season she starred as "Nancy Wesley" on hit NBC daytime drama DAYS OF OUR LIVES. She is also well known for co-starring as "Penny Baker" in the television series STEP BY STEP.
Roland Kickinger - For three seasons he played the role of lifeguard "Chip Rommel" in the popular television series SON OF THE BEACH. He recently played the role of Arnold Schwarzenegger in the A&E Movie of The Week SEE ARNOLD RUN and won "Mr. Austria" in the European National Body building Championships.
Chip & Kim McAllister - He and his wife Kim were the fifth winners of $1,000,000 on the 2004 CBS reality show THE AMAZING RACE which won The Emmy as "Best Reality Show."
