Celebrity Basketball Team U.S.O. Tour
March 16 – 22, 2009
Oahu, Hawaii, USA
The Hollywood Knights is honored to be working with the USO (www.uso.org) in fulfilling their second mission of boosting troop morale by bringing celebrities over the Pacific traveling to Hawaii. The Knights will play a series of basketball games against a team comprised of members of the armed services troops at various military bases. These games will provide fun and exciting competition with stars never before experienced by our troops overseas.
This game will be complimentary to all United States military and Department of Defense card holders, their families, and their immediate guests on the various bases that are listed below. Please contact the base MWR for more details. Sorry to all of our fans that are not part of the United States military and/or their families as these games will not be open to the general public. We welcome you to come out and spend some time with the Hollywood Knights and experience some fun with us for just a little while. Bring your cameras and get some autographs. You might even have a chance to take a free-throw shot for the Hollywood Knights team.
The USO is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to support the troops by providing morale, welfare and recreation-type services to our men and women in uniform. Historically, few events have left a more lasting emotional impression on service members and their families than USO celebrity entertainment tours.

"This was one of the most fun and enlightening trips of my life. Thank you so much USO for serving the needs of our brave soldiers, and a BIG thank you to all of our troops serving our nation."

"I am “Venom” from American Gladiators and was part of the “Hollywood Knights” team. It was an honor and pleasure for me to visit our amazing service members in person. Words cannot describe the heart-warming feeling of thanking these soldiers, giving them a handshake or a hug & letting them know how much we value them & what they do for our country.
Even though the bases are surrounded by natural beauty & the gorgeous scenery of Oahu, the soldiers are still away from home & away from their families. They sacrifice so much. It made me very happy to be able to talk with them, hear their stories, have fun & have a light-hearted time with them.
It was an honor to be a part of the Hollywood Knights team (especially being the only girl! :) Many people appreciated that! Everyone at the game had a blast- from the Navy, Army, Air Force & Marine players, the parents and families in the audiences & especially the kids! I met many mothers & kids whose dads are in Iraq or Japan & I was able to dance with those kids & cheerleaders, sign autographs & take pictures with them. We all had so much fun & none of us will forget it. I will never forget “Wolf” climbing up on the backboard during the games, later having a ‘dance-off’ with the Air Force players & beautiful National Anthems sung by “Wolf” and Aaron Carter with the military color guard. We have an amazing US military that we are so proud of and I love that we can show them by our presence.
I truly enjoyed meeting our wounded warriors and the families of the Fisher House. It was a wonderful experience to sit down with these brave soldiers and hear their stories and talk to them about their recovery. We spoke of how grateful we are in this lifetime and we talked about how they are moving on from their injuries & moving forward. I was happy to be able to inspire and listen to these brave soldiers.
This was my third USO Tour since October. I got a chance to visit our soldiers in Iraq & Kuwait, Bahrain & Djibouti, Africa and now Oahu, Hawaii. I feel so blessed to have these once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. Our organizers of Hollywood Knights, Traci Szymanski, Vicky & Michael Mirisch and Jeff did a phenomenal job creating our trip. Everything was perfect & well organized & the basketball games were extremely successful. We played great games with a lot of fun & entertainment for all. The team members of Hollywood Knights were amazing people as well. I was surrounded by talented, successful, fun people all week. These people had the positive spirit & attitude to bring some love from back home to our service members.
This USO Tour to Oahu will be a positive, beautiful memory for everyone involved. I look forward to doing many more tours & being more involved with USO. I believe in what they do and how valuable their services are to our service members. I want to be a part their beautiful organization to give back, to be grateful for our country and to be grateful for all our service members."

"'It has been an honor.' People say that a lot, but after meeting all of the men and women of the armed services on this trip, I know what it means now. It’s been an honor to do this USO Tour and feel like we are giving something back to the people who protect us and their families. Also, I’ve never been welcomed more warmly than by the USO and Hollywood Knights. Everyone from the USO went above and beyond, and as for the Knights, I think we all feel like family now."

"I am grateful that I was asked to be a part of this event. I am thankful for our troops and I hope that peace and divine blessings will always be with them. I got a chance to thank our troops personally and it felt really great. It was an honor to be a part of this tour and I had fun as well. Thank you!"

"If I had one word to describe this tour it would be “amazing!”…I had life-changing experiences, made great friends both with Hollywood Knights and the USO. The bonding with each individual is so unique. It made me feel so blessed after witnessing how much our military does to protect us. My life has changed and I am so thankful I had the chance to experience this tour."
FRANKIE DELGADO – “THE HILLS” |

"This was my second tour with the Hollywood Knights and the USO and every time I learn more about the sacrifices that not only our military make, but how much their families sacrifice as well. I am very fortunate to live in a country where I have the freedom to make choices in everything I do and I know that freedom comes with a price. These families that we meet are so special and I pray that their loved ones return back to them safely. And I will hold every soldier and family in my heart and in my prayers. Thank you Hollywood Knights and USO for giving me the opportunity to give back a little bit of a smile!"

"In the past five years, I've traveled all around the world with this team. The Hollywood Knights have become family to me and have made such a great impact on my life. I was honored to be included in this USO Tour and cherished every moment of it. For the troops, the fans, the families, for what these guys give and do everyday for us, I have nothing but love for them. Thank you to the troops, their families, the USO and as always, the Hollywood Knights for an amazing experience."
